Solar panels use the energy from the sun to produce for us, direct current electricity.
Below are six steps for installing solar panels in your homes:
1. Find the perfect location:
Even though the sun shines everywhere, there are some places it hits better. Finding the perfect location is very important. You look for the place where it won’t be disturbed.For countries in the Northern hemisphere, it is best to face the panel to the south while it is best to face the panel to the North for countries in the Southern hemisphere of the earth.
2. Fix the mounts:
The mounting structure is to be heated. The mounting structure is to give support. The distance between the two pedestals whether on ground or on the roof should be 1000mm.
3. Install the panels:
Tighten the panels to the mounts, so it can be steady. Connect the positive wire end of one PV (Photovoltaic) to the negative end of another PV that is in series. If you want to connect it in parallel, let the positive wire go with the positive, and the negative with the negative. Here, voltage doesn’t change.
4. Connect your solar inverter and battery:
The panel and the solar inverter’s wire should be connected in the same way as a parallel connection of the panels. That is, positive terminal of the panel to positive terminal of the solar inverter, to the positive end of the battery. Connect the negative wires the same way. Battery is needed to power the panel and store electricity backup.
5. Connect to the grid:
A grid is a battery plate. It is a zinc plate in a primary battery or a lead plate in a secondary battery. Connect the solar inverter to the grid, using a normal plug. Connecting to the grid means that you can get power from the solar panel and the grid itself. Connect a wire from the grid to the electric board that supplies your house electricity. No electricity gets wasted with this connection of the solar panel and the grid or grid-connected home. The bad side though, is that if the grid should lose power, the panel loses power also.
6. Start the panel:
This stage is not so difficult. Turn on the DC tube and then the inverter.A green light on the inverter signifies that the inverter is working properly.While a red or orange signifies error. Next, you would receive an email that tells you what to do, so you can monitor your system through your mobile app.
